Cody blinked a few times before looking around at his room. He saw nothing but black, and for a second he felt confused; all that sugar he had eaten had given him a stomachache, but it wasn’t as bad as other years where he would end up puking all the candy he had eaten with his sister. On right his side, Estee was sleeping pacefully; he had miss her so much those past weeks, and it felt so good having her next to him again. With a sigh, Cody moved his arm slowly from under her head and made sure she it was in a comfortable position so she wouldn’t hurt her neck; as he stood up, the boy leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss on her forehead, he didn’t want to wake her up, after all, she needed to rest -he remembered listening to his girlfriend complaining at how noisy NYC was, so Chicago was probably heaven for her sleeping schedule. Outside, it was dark already, and after everything he had done with Trish in the morning and Estee later, he was rather tired, still, he was looking forward to spend the rest of the night with Trish, it had been a while since they last had a movie marathon, and Cody knew she was a movie freak, so he was sure he wasn’t going to end up feeling bored.

Closing the door of his room behind him, he went downstairs and grabbed some snacks for both of them. All of that felt so good; they were being their old selves again, no fighting, no arguing, and no secrets between them -at least those who were theirs, and not from others. After a few minutes, he was finally heading to his sister’s room, and when he was there, he didn’t even bothered in knocking the door, even if that meant Trish getting pissed. “Hey you” he greeted, smirking and putting all the things he was holding in the nearest table, “I know we’ve eaten so much today, but I just thought it was a good idea to bring this” he said, sitting down next to Trish as he grabbed the nearest pillow and hugged it.
